ORLANDO, Fla. (FNN NEWS) - Orlando Mayor Buddy Dyer, City Commissioner Regina Hill (District 5) and Ted Haddock of the Tinker Field Committee were present to officially open the Tinker Field History Plaza to the public. The plaza commemorates the 100+ baseball players, VIPs and civil rights history of the field, include Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., who spoke there in his first and only Orlando appearance during the Civil Rights Movement.
