ORLANDO, Fla. (FNN NEWS) - US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo announced Monday new sanctions against Chinese oil importer Zhuhai Zhenrong Company Limited and its chief executive Youmin Li for buying crude oil from Iran. "They violated US law by accepting crude oil and any sanctions will indeed be enforced," Pompeo said.
Secretary Pompeo announced the sanctions during his keynote address at the 2019 Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) National Convention in Orlando, Florida.
It was the first time in five decades a sitting secretary of state has addressed the VFW national convention, he said during his speech.
