Asana: Warrior II (Virabhadrasana II)
Brief alignment: Come to the top of the mat. Step your right foot back and spin the toes in so the front heal lines up with your back arch. Even the hips out and bend the front knee so it tracks over the ankle. Rotate the left hip out as you press the outside of the back foot in.
Benefits: Strengthens the legs, opens the hips, brings a sense of grounding and stability.
Contraindications: Knee injury
